Oral Peyton Basham 
Oral Peyton was born on February 18th, 1877 in Union Star, Breckenridge Co., Ky.1 Oral Peyton's father was Obediah Peyton Basham and his mother was Maria Frances Watlington. His paternal grandparents were Henry Dowell Basham and Cassandra Hardin. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Earl Wallace, Charles Henry (Twin), Ceil Duncan, Ermine (Twin), Erwin (Twin), Nathaniel Reid, Martha Lou (Mattie), Cleona Blanche, Judith Ellen (Nel) and Mary Dowell (Twin) (Dot). He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 95 on March 6th, 1972 in Bullitt Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
