Cleona Blanche was born on December 2nd, 1871 in Union Star, Breckenridge Co., Ky.1 Cleona Blanche's father was Obediah Peyton Basham and her mother was Maria Frances Watlington. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Dowell Basham and Cassandra Hardin. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Earl Wallace, Oral Peyton, Charles Henry (Twin), Ceil Duncan, Ermine (Twin), Erwin (Twin), Nathaniel Reid, Martha Lou (Mattie), Judith Ellen (Nel) and Mary Dowell (Twin) (Dot). She was the second oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 72 on December 30th, 1943 in Irvington, Kentucky.1 General Notes
