Olla Harmon Basham 
Olla Harmon was born on June 29th, 1917 in Fordsville, Ohio Co., Kentucky.1 Olla Harmon's father was William Ollie Basham and his mother was Julia Ann Babbitt. His paternal grandparents were Thomas McClellan (Tom) Basham and Laura Belle White; his maternal grandparents were Hiram A. Babbitt and Vizella Ellen Basham. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Julian W., Living, Golda M., Ola Mae, Clara Thomas, Annie Laura, Emily M., Living and Living. He died at the age of 79 on October 31st, 1996 in Kankakee, Kankakee Co., Illinois.1 General Notes

TOOL DRESSER IS BADLY INJURED IN OIL RIG MISHAP
Ollie H Basham, 19 years old, of near Fordsville, was seriously inj
ur ed about noon Wednesday while working on an oil rig in Grayson Count
y, a s hort distance from the Ohio County line. He was taken to the Owens
boro Ci ty Hospital early Wednesday night. Basham sustained fractures of b
oth le gs and arms and possible chest injuries. Basham was on top of the r
ig wh en his foot slipped. In falling, the leg of his overalls caug
ht on a s et screw on the large fly wheel of the drilling machine, which w
as in moti on. Basham was whirled about the flywheel approximately twenty
-five time s, a witness said, before the machine could be stopped. Bash
