Mary Elizabeth Basham 
Mary Elizabeth was born on February 20th, 1858 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.1 Mary Elizabeth's father was Joseph Allen Basham and her mother was Sarah Frances Dowell. Her paternal grandparents were George Dowell Basham and Susan M. Campbell. She had six brothers and eight sisters, named Nathaniel S., Mikel (Mike), William Henry, Thomas Joseph, John, Andrew Jefferson (Andy), Bennie Ellen (Beanie), Sallie Ann, Paulina "Linnie", Susan Morris, Margaret, Allie Jane, Nora Margaret (Maggie) and Evelyn (Eva). She was the oldest of the fifteen children. She died at the age of 92 on December 22nd, 1950 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
