James Coffey Basham 
James Coffey was born on November 1st, 1900 in Purmela, Coryell Co., Texas.1 James Coffey's father was James Fudge Basham and his mother was Nancy Elizabeth Roberts. His paternal grandparents were Coffey Jones Basham and Julia Ann Waggoner; his maternal grandparents were Travis Roberts and Mary Ann Birtrong. He had a brother and six sisters, named Infant, Mary Tabitha, Rose Ella, May Alma, Viola Samantha, Velma Harriet and Julia Opal. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 78 on January 28th, 1979 in Coryell Co., Texas.1 General Notes
