Velma Harriet Basham 
Velma Harriet was born on September 7th, 1910 in Purmela, Coryell Co., Texas.1 Velma Harriet's father was James Fudge Basham and her mother was Nancy Elizabeth Roberts. Her paternal grandparents were Coffey Jones Basham and Julia Ann Waggoner; her maternal grandparents were Travis Roberts and Mary Ann Birtrong. She had two brothers and five sisters, named James Coffey, Infant, Mary Tabitha, Rose Ella, May Alma, Viola Samantha and Julia Opal. She was the second youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 81 on July 1st, 1992 in Gatesville, Coryell Co., Texas.1 General Notes
