Homer Albert (Tuck) was born on October 20th, 1917 in Brownsville, Edmonson Co., Ky.1 Homer Albert (Tuck)'s father was Reuben 'Alfred' Basham and his mother was Martha Elender (Mattie) Self. His paternal grandparents were Reuben Bartlett (Bartley) Basham and July Ann Johnson; his maternal grandparents were Greenberry Self and Elizabeth Lee Bostick. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Alex 'Clifford', Freddie Norman (Bartley), Everett Commadore Tilford, John Thomas, Living, Living, Living, Allbennie Florence and Isthmie Mae. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Guy Ulysses (Lissies), Wiley, Reubin Kelley and Julia Ann. He died about 1977 in Salem, Marion Co., Illinois.1 General Notes
