Reuben Bartlett (Bartley) was born in 1844 in Kentucky.1 Reuben Bartlett (Bartley)'s father was Benajah Anderson Basham and his mother was Nancy E. Turner. His paternal grandparents were Bartlett Basham and Rachel Mayberry; his maternal grandfather is Reubin Turner. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Samuel Green, James, James Harrod, Henry, Henry W., Mark A., Samuel 'Green', Obediah Mitchell (Obie), Margaret E. and Nancy Jane. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother named Reuben 'Alfred'. He died after 1880 in Kentucky.1 General Notes
