Godfrey Taylor was born on September 11th, 1846 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.1 Godfrey Taylor's father was Frederick Basham and his mother was Abigail NORTON. His paternal grandparents were Obediah Basham and Celia Dowell; his maternal grandparents are Jeremiah Norton and Abigail Unknown. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Obediah, Jeremiah (Felix), Allen Kellogg (Kell), Henry Washington, Isaac Thomas, Robert H. (Doc), Susan, Abigail, Celia, Sarah, Theodesia M 'Docia' and Rosena Ann. He was the second youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 79 on December 12th, 1925 in Tulsa, Tulsa Co., Oklahoma.1 General Notes
