Cornelia Edith 'Nellie' was born about December 1893 in Butler Co., Kentucky.1 Cornelia Edith 'Nellie''s father was Silas Hardin Hailey Basham and her mother was Mary Isabell (Belle) Keown. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Wesley (Rev) Basham and Martha (Mary) Jane Williams. She had three brothers named Herbert Evan, Casper Vaughn and Gordon (Bennette). She was the second oldest of the four children. She died after 1925.1 General Notes
