Winnie was born on October 11th, 1889 in Hartsville, Austin, TX, USA.1 Winnie's father was Miles Johnson Allen and her mother was Nora Weaver. Her paternal grandparents were James William Allen and Penelope Johnston; her maternal grandparents are J. E. Weaver and Nancy Unknown. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Peter Benjamin, Miles Newton, Howard Johnson, Daisie, Lottie, Ada and Etta. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 50 on September 15th, 1940 in Houston, Harris, TX, USA. She was buried in Wallis Public Cemetery, Wallis, Austin Co. , Texas.1 1 General Notes
