Etta Allen

Etta was born on September 26th, 1896 in Wallis, Austin Co., Texas.¹ Etta's father was Miles Johnson Allen and her mother was Nora Weaver. Her paternal grandparents were James William Allen and Penelope Johnston; her maternal grandparents are J. E. Weaver and Nancy Unknown. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Peter Benjamin, Miles Newton, Howard Johnson, Daisie, Lottie, Winnie and Ada. She was the second youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 83 in 1979 in Houston , Harris Co., Texas.¹
