Sarah Eliza was born on February 5th, 1874 in Lufkin, Angelina Co., Texas.1 Sarah Eliza's father was Harmon Holcombe Allen and her mother was Sarah Frances Modisette. Her paternal grandparents were John Calhoun Allen and Mary Ann Holcombe. She had three brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Harmon Samuel, James Walter, George Washington, Mary Elizabeth, Anna Idella, Leona Bell and M. B.. She was the second youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 74 on December 15th, 1948 in Lufkin, Angelina Co., Texas.
