Whittington 
Whittington was born on August 22nd, 1825 in Amite Co., Mississippi.1 Whittington's father was George Pollard Butler and her mother was Polly F. Butler. Her maternal grandfather was Hurd and her maternal grandmother is Smith. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Young Gresham, Pollard P., Decatur P., George Putnam, Whittington, Webb, Short and Short. She was the youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 86 on May 21st, 1912. She was buried after May 21st, 1912 in Whittington Cemetery, Amite Co., MS.1 1 General Notes
