Whittington 
Whittington was born on July 1st, 1804.1 Whittington's father was George Pollard Butler and her mother was Polly F. Butler. Her maternal grandfather was Hurd and her maternal grandmother is Smith. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Young Gresham, Pollard P., Decatur P., George Putnam, Webb, Short, Short and Whittington. She was the oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 41 on October 17th, 1845 in Amite Co., Mississippi.1 General Notes
