She had nine brothers and two sisters, named George C., Chrispianos, Thompson Lawson, Burrell W., Council K., Gaston, Ira W., James Buchanan, Charles Willie Jasper, Emazella and Mercena F.. She is the fifth youngest of the twelve children. She had a half-brother named Phillip Aden.-
