John L. Thompson

John L. was born on June 23rd, 1820 in Chatham , North Carolina.¹ John L.'s father was Balaam McSwane Thompson and his mother is Jane Catherine Hughes. His paternal grandparents were Balaam Thompson and Hannah McSwane. He had three brothers and a sister, named Charles, Eli, Wesley and Rebecca M.. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 72 on November 18th, 1892 in Lamar, Texas.¹
