Jeremiah Thompson

Jeremiah was born on October 10th, 1800 in Chatham Co., North Carolina.¹ Jeremiah's father was Balaam Thompson and his mother was Catherine Rebecca Wilkeson. His paternal grandparents were Balaam Thompson and Olive Melton. He had three brothers and a sister, named James, John, Balaam and Olive. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 74 on July 5th, 1875 in Jefferson, Iowa. He was buried in Thompson Cemetary, Jefferson Co., Iowa.¹¹
