Emma Sorrels

Emma was born on April 8th, 1881 in Topsey, Texas.¹ Emma's father was Joshua Park Sorrels and her mother was Emily Elizabeth Straley. Her paternal grandmother was Rebecca Parks Tollett; her maternal grandparents are Sampson David Straley and Ellen Lisenby. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Joseph Leonard, David Matthew, Maggie Mae, Era Marry and Tiny Ethel. She was the oldest of the six children. She had a half-brother named George Cody. She died at the age of 73 on January 8th, 1955.¹
