David Matthew Sorrels

David Matthew was born on April 18th, 1886 in Topsey, Texas.¹ David Matthew's father was Joshua Park Sorrels and his mother was Emily Elizabeth Straley. His paternal grandmother was Rebecca Parks Tollett; his maternal grandparents are Sampson David Straley and Ellen Lisenby. He had a brother and four sisters, named Joseph Leonard, Emma, Maggie Mae, Era Marry and Tiny Ethel. He was the third youngest of the six children. He had a half-brother named George Cody. He died at the age of 65 on March 15th, 1952 in Copperas Cove, Coryell Co, Texas.¹
