Noel Roy 
Noel was born about 1778 in Pointe Coupee, Louisiana.1 Noel's father was Joseph Noel Roy and his mother was Anne Bordelon. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Roy dit Chaelleraut and Perrine Lacour; his maternal grandparents were Laurent Nicolas Bordelon and Adrienne Rondot. He had six brothers and nine sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Joseph Noel, Solastie, Valery, Jean Baptiste, Joseph, Joseph, Theotiste, Dorothee, Judith, Hortense, Manette, Celeste, Euphanie, Catherine, Marie and Ludivine. He was the fifth oldest of the seventeen children.1 -
