Judith Roy

Judith was born in 1779 in Pointe Coupee, Louisiana.¹ Judith's father was Joseph Noel Roy and her mother was Anne Bordelon. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Roy dit Chaelleraut and Perrine Lacour; her maternal grandparents were Laurent Nicolas Bordelon and Adrienne Rondot. She had seven brothers and eight sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Joseph Noel, Solastie, Noel, Valery, Jean Baptiste, Joseph, Joseph, Theotiste, Dorothee, Hortense, Manette, Celeste, Euphanie, Catherine, Marie and Ludivine. She was the sixth oldest of the seventeen children. She died at the age of 6 in 1785 in Opelousas, Louisiana.¹
