JAMES married his first cousin, ELIZABETH LEA, who was the d/o WILLIAM LEA and his wife, FRANCES (surname not given). WILLIAM's will is dated October 30, 1802, with a codicil dated July 5, 1803; probated in March Court, 1804, Person Co., NC. in which he mentions the oldest daughter of his grandson, Benjamin Lea, and a daughter, Elizabeth Lea.
