JAMES LEA will is in Person Co.,, Feb. Court, 1812, Bk. 7, p. 79, in which he names his children: (1) Abner; (2) Richard; (3) Benjamin; (4) Naomiah Satterfield; (5) Frankey Lea; (6) Nicey Chandler; and (7) Annis Lea. The will was dated September 7, 1803, before Annis and William were married
This James Lea was probably married twice.
James and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony in Person County, North Carolina.1 They had three sons and four daughters, named Abner, Benjamin, Richard, Eunice, Naomah, Annis and Frances.
