Wesley Allen Lam 
Wesley Allen was born on May 19th, 1855 in Rockingham Co., Virginia.1 Wesley Allen's father was Mathew Lamb and his mother is Annie Meadows. His maternal grandparents were Thomas W. Meadows and Elizabeth Breeding. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Emanuel Hezakiah, William Zebedee, Alexander, Thomas Henry, James Mathew, Walter Asberry, Harriet Anne Elizabeth S., Mary Ellen, Lucy Jane, Virginia Frances, Zandervon Obeliah and Drucilla E.. He was the second oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 77 on February 14th, 1933.1 General Notes
LAM, WESLEY age 68 yrs. died 14 Feb 1933 at his home in Jolletts Hollow from a complication of diseases. Survived by his second wife, who was Miss Annie Rhodes of Elkton, Va. One daughter, Lizzie, wife of Thomas Samuels of Jolletts Hollow & two sons, Virgil & Seldon Lam. Before his first wife died Mr. Lam and she picked out a place to be buried, which was under a white oak tree close to the house. He was laid to rest under this tree beside his wife, who passed away 32 yrs. ago. His widow, according to the plan, will be buried on the opposite side of the tree. (issue 03 Mar 1933)
