Severine Decuir 
Severine was born in June 1792 in Pointe Coupee, Louisiana.1 Severine's father was Jean Paul Decuir and her mother was Marie Jeanne LeGue. Her paternal grandparents were Jean Francois Decuir and Genevieve Mayeux; her maternal grandparents were Rene Legue and Catherine Olivo. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Paulin, Zenon, Augustine, Constance, Emilie and Rosalie. She was the second youngest of the seven children.1 -
