Mary Clay 
Mary was born about 1762 in Black Water River, Bedford County, Virginia.1 Mary's father was Mitchel Clay and her mother was Phoebe Belcher. Her maternal grandparents were RICHARD D. Belcher and MARY Obedience Clay. She had seven brothers and seven sisters, named Bartley, Ezekial, David Peyton, John, Mitchel, Charles L., William, Tabitha, Rebecca, Obedience 'Bedy', Patience, Naomie, Sarah and Polly. She was the oldest of the fifteen children. She died on April 25th, 1851 in Wyoming County, (West) Virginia. She was buried in Craney near Oceana, Wyoming County, West Virginia.1 1 General Notes

Headstone is marked as "Wife of Capt. Ralph Stewart". Headstone does notcontain a date. This cemetery is located in Clearfork, near Crany. To find Keatley Cemetery, take route 85 from Oceana, towards Kopperston. At Country Junction, in Toney Fork, take a right towards Toneda Baptist Church. It's roughly 4 or 5 miles down this road, on the left hand side of the road. It's about 15, or 20, yards up in the mountain. To make it even more difficult, you can't see it from the road due to the brush and trees. Very hard to find.[22916872.ged]
