John Clay 
John was born about 1722 in of, Henrico Co., Virginia.1 John's father was HENRY Clay and his mother was MARY Mitchell. His paternal grandparents were CHARLES Clay and HANNAH Wilson; his maternal grandfather was WILLIAM Mitchell and his maternal grandmother is ELIZABETH Innes. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Henry, Charles, William Mitchell, MARY Obedience, Amey and Martha. He died on November 5th, 1762 in Dale Parish, Chesterfield Co., Virginia.1 -
