Elizabeth was born on March 8th, 1835 in Mercer Co., Virginia.1 Elizabeth's father was George C. Bailey and her mother was Frances Thompson. Her paternal grandparents were John Payton Bailey and Nancy W. Davidson. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Burrell B., Jonathan Simms, John W., Thompson P., George Davidson, Council Walker, Matthew Alexander, Nancy D., Charlotte Temple, Rebecca Jane and Catherine Telia. She was the second youngest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 72 on November 6th, 1907 in Rock, Mercer Co., West Virginia. She was buried in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Lashmeet, Mercer County, West Virginia.1 1 -
