Elijah P. Bailey

Elijah P. was born on February 22nd, 1810 in Giles Co., Virginia.¹ Elijah P.'s father was Henry Bailey and his mother was Elizabeth Peters. His paternal grandparents were RICHARD Patton Bailey and ELIZABETH Anne Belcher; his maternal grandparents were John Jacob Peters and Frances Simms. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John P., Phillip P., James M., William Russell, Mary, Nancy, Elizabeth and Jane Perry. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 87 on September 9th, 1897 in Elgood, Mercer Co., West Virginia.¹
