Martha Thaxton

Martha was born on May 4th, 1791 in Pendleton Dist., SC. Martha's father was Thomas Thaxton and her mother was Jemima Cobb. Her paternal grandparents were Abel Thackston and Lucy Davis; her maternal grandparents were Henry COBB and Deborah REED. She had a brother and a sister, named John and Rachel. She was the oldest of the three children. She had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named WILLIAMSON, GEORGE, THOMAS, JAMES H., MATILDA, MILLY, PHEBE and SARAH. She died at the age of 71 on September 11th, 1862 in Sangamon, IL.
