WILLIAMSON was born about 1809 in , , Kentucky. WILLIAMSON's father was Thomas Thaxton and his mother was Hannah Williamson. His paternal grandparents were Abel Thackston and Lucy Davis. He has three brothers and four sisters, named GEORGE, THOMAS, JAMES H., MATILDA, MILLY, PHEBE and SARAH. He is the oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named John, Martha and Rachel.-
