John Thaxton 
John was born on December 22nd, 1771 in Goochland, VA and his baptism took place on December 22nd, 1771 in Goochland, St. James, Northam Parish, Virginia. John's father was James X Thaxton and his mother was Elizabeth Clarke. His paternal grandparents were Abel Thackston and Lucy Davis; his maternal grandfather is Daniel Clarke. He had four brothers and a sister, named David Franklin, Peter, James William, James and Margaret "Peggy". He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 49 on March 17th, 1821 in Prince Edward, VA.-
