James Thaxton 
James was born on September 12th, 1767 in Goochland, VA and his baptism took place on December 10th, 1768 in Goochland, St. James, Northam Parish, Virginia. James' father was James X Thaxton and his mother was Elizabeth Clarke. His paternal grandparents were Abel Thackston and Lucy Davis; his maternal grandfather is Daniel Clarke. He had four brothers and a sister, named David Franklin, Peter, James William, John and Margaret "Peggy". He was the second youngest of the six children. He died after 1830 in Green Co ?, GA.-
