James David Thaxton 
James David was born on May 3rd, 1838 in Campbell Co.,Virginia. James David's father was Robert Clarkson Thaxton and his mother was Sarah Fore. His paternal grandparents were David Franklin Thaxton and Martha Hurt; his maternal grandfather was James Fore and his maternal grandmother is Sarah Elizabeth HURT. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Monroe Scott, John R, William Henry H, Mary Sally and Martha E. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 83 on June 26th, 1921 in Kanawha Co.,West Virginia.General Notes
