Martha E was born in 1845 in , Kanawha, Virginia, USA. Martha E's father was Robert Clarkson Thaxton and her mother was Sarah Fore. Her paternal grandparents were David Franklin Thaxton and Martha Hurt; her maternal grandfather was James Fore and her maternal grandmother is Sarah Elizabeth HURT. She had four brothers and a sister, named Monroe Scott, James David, John R, William Henry H and Mary Sally. She was the youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 67 in 1912 in , Kanawha, West Virginia. She was buried in WOODALL FAMILY, Cemetary, Kanawha, WV.General Notes
Note: In the 1840 census, a Robert Faxton is listed. The ages of the children and the wife match that of Robert C. thaxton. Good possibility that this is Robert Thaxton, Not Robert Faxton. Robert moved from Bedford Co., to Kanawha Co., area between 1834 and 1838. His first wife died between 1880 and 1885. He married his sceond wife in May 20, 1885 in Charleston, WV (license number 105)
