George Oren Thaxton

George Oren was born on September 17th, 1886 in Flint Hill,Bedford Co.,Virginia. George Oren's father was Nathaniel Garland Thaxton and his mother was Margaret Whitfield "Maggie" Nance. His paternal grandparents were William Henry Thaxton and Sophia Rucker. He had two brothers named Robert Lee and Hammett Davis. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 56 on August 30th, 1943 in Lynchburg,Virginia.
