Martha was born on September 12th, 1782 in Library, Allegheny, PA. Martha's father was David PHILLIPS and her mother was Mary THOMAS. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph PHILLIPS and Mary PHILLIPS. She had nine brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin, John, Joseph, Joseph, Thomas, Josiah, David, David, Isaac, Mary, Rachel and Sarah. She is the third youngest of the thirteen children.-
