Elizabeth (Betsy) was born on January 7th, 1801 in Guiford County, North Carolina. Elizabeth (Betsy)'s father was John PAISLEY and her mother was Jane RANKIN. Her paternal grandparents were William PAISLEY and Deliverance (Dilley) PAINE; her maternal grandparents were John RANKIN and Hannah Carson. She had six brothers and five sisters, named William, Joseph, John Rankin, Robert, Samuel Abner, Preston Albion, Deliverance, Hannah, Rebecca, Abigail and Jane Carson. She was the sixth oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 64 in 1865 in Hillsboro,Montgomery County,IL.General Notes
