James Greer Gannon 
James Greer was born in 1801 in Guilford County,NC. James Greer's father was William Gannon and his mother was Agnes Nancy Greer. His paternal grandparents were Perry Gannon and Esther Andrew; his maternal grandparents were Matthew Greer and Mary UNKNOWN. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Jr., George, Thomas C., Rebecca, Esther and Nancy Ann. He was the oldest of the seven children. He had a half-sister named Nancy Jane.
