Zachariah "Becheries" was born about 1734 in Hanover, Virginia. Zachariah "Becheries"'s father was DANIEL "Old Daniel" Maupin and his mother was MARGARET Via. His paternal grandparents were GABRIEL Maupin and MARIE Hersent (Erssen); his maternal grandparents were AMER Via and MARGARET UNKNOWN. He had six brothers and three sisters, named GABRIEL, John, Daniel "Cuff", William G., Jesse G., Thomas, Mary, Margaret "Peggy" and Jane "Jean". He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He died in 1817 in White Hall, Albemarle, Virginia.-
