Daniel "Cuff" was born about 1727 in Albemarle, Virginia. Daniel "Cuff"'s father was DANIEL "Old Daniel" Maupin and his mother was MARGARET Via. His paternal grandparents were GABRIEL Maupin and MARIE Hersent (Erssen); his maternal grandparents were AMER Via and MARGARET UNKNOWN. He had six brothers and three sisters, named GABRIEL, John, William G., Zachariah "Becheries", Jesse G., Thomas, Mary, Margaret "Peggy" and Jane "Jean". He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died on December 5th, 1803 in Muddy Creek, Madison, Kentucky.General Notes
