Thomas Maupin 
Thomas was born about 1769 in Albemarle, Virginia. Thomas' father was GABRIEL Maupin and his mother was ANNA B. Ballard. His paternal grandparents were DANIEL "Old Daniel" Maupin and MARGARET Via; his maternal grandfather was THOMAS Ballard and his maternal grandmother is FRANCES Shiflett. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named David Hansford, Daniel, Joel, Gabriel, Bland, John, Matthew, Susannah, Judith, Frances "Fanny", Anna and Margaret "Peggy". He was the fourth youngest of the thirteen children. He died on January 23rd, 1828 in Maupin Farm, Albemarle, Virginia.-
