William Hurt 
William was born in 1797.1 William's father was Josiah Hurt and his mother was Elizabeth Young. His maternal grandfather was Henry Young and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth Unknown. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Henry, Benjamin, John H., Forrester, Spencer Thomas, Josiah, Elizabeth, Judith and Sarah Jane. He is the third oldest of the ten children.
