John H. Hurt 
John H. was born in 1806.1 John H.'s father was Josiah Hurt and his mother was Elizabeth Young. His maternal grandfather was Henry Young and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth Unknown. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Henry, William, Benjamin, Forrester, Spencer Thomas, Josiah, Elizabeth, Judith and Sarah Jane. He is the fifth youngest of the ten children.
