Elizabeth Hurt 
Elizabeth was born about 1795 in ,, Va.1 Elizabeth's father was Josiah Hurt and her mother was Elizabeth Young. Her maternal grandfather was Henry Young and her maternal grandmother is Elizabeth Unknown. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Henry, William, Benjamin, John H., Forrester, Spencer Thomas, Josiah, Judith and Sarah Jane. She is the oldest of the ten children.
Elizabeth and John were married in a religious ceremony on March 1st, 1821 in , Davidson, Tn.
