Haywood Benjamin Howell 
Haywood Benjamin was born on July 16th, 1814 in Grainger County, Tennessee Formed 1796.1 Haywood Benjamin's father was John HOWELL and his mother was Temperance MIDKIFF. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Henry HOWELL and Elizabeth BROOKS; his maternal grandfather was Isaiah MIDKIFF and his maternal grandmother is Mary Kimble. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named John Jamison, William Brooks, Thomas E., Wesley, George W., Andrew, Kimble Edegmond, Jefferson Metcalf, Mary, Pleasant Rose, Elizabeth Brooks "Annie", Sarah J. and Nancy. He was the second oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 54 in 1868.1 General Notes
