John Hoover 
John was born on September 2nd, 1808 in Bedford, Bedford Co., PA. John's father was Frederick Hoover and his mother was Catharine BRUMBAUGH. His paternal grandparents were Johann Adam HUBER and Catherine Kramer. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named Samuel, Frederick, Jacob, Susanna\Susannah, Nancy Ann, Mary, Catharine, Barbara, Elizabeth, Christina and Margaret. He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.-
