Martha Ann Herring

Martha Ann was born in 1843 in , Washington, IL.  Martha Ann's father is Daniel Washington Herring and her mother was Helen Ellender Sevier.  Her paternal grandparents are Peyton Herring and Mary 'Polly' Evans; her maternal grandparents were John Sevier and Anna Friend. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Jesse L, George Washington, John Wesley, Alexander, William Jasper, Egell Elvin, Frances Marion, Elisabeth Jane, Mary Etta and Amelia Nora.  She is the third oldest of the eleven children.
