Richard Winston "Dick" was born on May 1st, 1925 in Newton, Harvey Co., KS.1 Richard Winston "Dick"'s father was Nathaniel Blosser and his mother was Myrtle Arletta "Arlie" Glover. His maternal grandparents were James Hanson Glover and Martha Jane "Mattie" Payne. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Milton LaVerne "Nate", Robert Nathaniel "Bob", Frances Nadine, Mary Louise and Living. He died at the age of 63 on May 3rd, 1988 in Wichita, Sedgwick Co., KS. He was buried on May 20th, 1988 in Homestead Cemetary, Cedar Point, Chase Co., KS.2 3 General Notes
Richard attended two years in Newton High School and then graduated from Matfield Green High School. Richard and Laura first lived in Florence, Kansas working in locker plant. Due to his health had to quit. Moved to Newton and worked in grocery store and at Boeing in Wichita. He worked for IGA Stores 17 to 18 years. He said "In all he has ever done, working as meatcutter was his high Choice." Retired in 1987. Friends Church. Buried in Homestead Cemetery, Chase County, KS

Richard W. Blosser, 63, of Park City, retired Grove's IGA meat-cutter, died Monday, May 16, 1988. Service 10 a.m. Friday, Byrd-Snodgrass Funeral Home, Wichita; 2 p.m. Homestead Cemetery, Clements.
Survivors: wife, Laura; sons, Victor LeRoy of Haysville, Nathaniel Kent of Park City; daughters, Marcia Lee of Park City, Arletta Ruth Donald of Casville, MO; brother, LaVern of Florence; sisters, Opal Loucks of Fredonia, Frances Patton of Morganivlle; five grandcildren; three great-grandcildren.
